We have had great success with launching our Peer Mediators and their playground games. A member of our PE staff has been supporting our Peer Mediators with introducing each new game and making sure that everyone sticks to the rules!

We learned a song/rap about stopping bullying last week. Soon, the childlren are going to write their own songs about bullying!

The children are developing a deeper mindset about emotions, thoughts and feelings. This is leading them to consider more carefully their decisions about their behaviour with particular regard to the way this affects others. Having an incomplete theory of mind and an immature pre-frontal cortex makes this difficult for children, it’s overcoming these neurological barriers that makes combating bullying such a vexed issue.
